Peter began professional life in the City of London as a trainee solicitor. After Margaret Thatcher’s of Big Bang and several years of turbulence (three employers merged, one demerged), he became his own boss as a sole practitioner in a general high street office in southeast London. Peter passed the financial intermediary qualification in 2005 and ceased trading as a solicitor in March 2022 to focus on commercial finance for individuals and businesses as a financial intermediary.
Arranging finance is about relationships with clients, numerous lenders, and within the broad and diverse team of individuals with unique and contrasting strengths. The level of our team leads a higher level of contact with lenders which creates a turbocharged loop leading to impressive outcomes for clients.
Peter is motivated by the challenge and satisfaction of achieving a result for a client often in challenging circumstances. The first step in the process is understanding the client’s business and financial requirements. This is a 1:1 interview or series of conversations. The requirement is translated into a product that fits. Identifying and completing a deal in challenging financial situations is incredibly rewarding for both client and broker. Peter loves working with business owners often with interesting financial challenges and every type of personality.
